In a signed congratulatory release obtained from his Media Aide, Musefiu Kolawole, the commissioner who doubles as the Sooko of Ife said that Governor Oyetola had translated mere motion to developmental movement in Osun State even in a time of paucity of resources and the global challenges posed by the COVID-19.
"I don't reckon with awards especially in these days when awards are offered to only those who can make huge cash exchange even when such individuals or entity are not reputable nor deserving but giving His Excellency Isiaq Gboyega Oyetola overall best Governor in Nigeria in the year 2020 by The Business Day Newspaper shows the quality of the awards dished out by The Business Day for the past eight years hence I henceforth identify with The Business Day activities especially their awards", the Commissioner said.
Alhaji Eniafe described Governor Oyetola's recognition as well deserved, stressing that the Award is a payback to the Governor's outstanding performance in fiscal discipline, transparency and prioritizing people properties and well-being.
The statement quoted a section of the Business Day Newspaper's remark on Governor Oyetola as saying:
"Governor Oyetola, who clinched the overall best governor of the year, distinguished himself as a quintessential administrator, an astute manager of men and resources, a silent achiever, an iconic leader with a large heart for the people and service and a trailblazer who believes that a leader is as good as his last accomplishment".
The Honorable Commissioner who has once served as the Chairman, Ife East Local Government Area concluded by congratulating Governor Oyetola and wishing him a continuity.
"Congratulations Sir our Amiable His Excellency Isiaq Gboyega Oyetola for the deserving Honour.
"ILERI OLUWA till 2026!", he concluded.
