Today Saturday 17th of April, 2021 was a memorable day for the people of Ifetedo Kingdom, the entire Ifeland and Yoruba race in general as Chief (Mrs) Olajumoke Adebola Awodeyi was installed as the Erelu of the Kingdom by His Royal Majesty Oba Akinola Oyetade Akinrera Latiiri I, the Olubosin of Ifetedo Kingdom and Paramount Ruler of Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.
At the epoch-making and historical event were dignitaries and top government officials including Mr. Motoyese Ogundiji (Ife South Council Manager), Alhaji Musedik Gbenga Ojuade (IPU National President), High Chief Olaleye Fayemi (The new Osi of Ifetedo Kingdom), Alhaji Azeez Aleshbaba Alesinloye, (Ife South LGEA Secretary) among others.
The Arole Oduduwa, His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife alongside other prominent traditional rulers including the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi Odundun II, the Osemawe and Paramount Ruler of Ondo Kingdom, Oba(Dr) Victor Adesimbo Ademefun Kiladejo, CFR, Jilo III, the Timi of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal Laminisa I, Rigent Mojisola Omisore, the Oisa of Amulodu of Ado Ekiti and wife of a former Deputy Governor of Osun State Senator Iyiola Omisore among others were present at the occasion.
Chief(Mrs) Erelu Olajumoke Awodeyi was born in April 1974, 47 years ago into the Family of Otunba Olagunju Olowo, the former Solicitor General and Director General in Ondo State and Chief Mrs Olowo, the 1st Director of Nursing Services in the State. She started her elementary education at St Louis Nursery and Primary School, a renowned Catholic School in Akure Ondo State.
Erelu Olajumoke is a strong member of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Diocese. She is currently a Bishop's nominee to the synod, and the Standing Committee. She's the Iya Ijo of All Saints Chapel, Bishop's Court in Akure, and a staunch member of the St David's Anglican Cathedral. She has received several awards from her town, clubs and societies, to mention a few.
She's a member of IAC (Inter African Committee), an NGO against Female Genital Mutilation and harmful traditional practices in Nigeria. She is a member, Board of Directors, Pillars of Hope Africa Initiave(PHAI), a non-governmental organization committed to the promotion and preservation of a just and equitable society.
Chief(Mrs) Jumoke loves travelling and has visited more than 40 Countries in the World, with fluency in German, English and Yoruba languages.
