President Buhari in a goodwill letter signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, described the Monarch's current age as a milestone which is only attainable by grace from God.
"President Muhamadu Buhari rejoices with His Royal Highness, Oba David Olajide Omisore, the Olu of Ayepe-Olode in Osun State as he clocks the princely age of 90.
The President joins the monarch, his family and subjects to give glory to God for the gift of longevity, noting that such milestone is attained only through the grace of the Almighty", the message read in part.
The President while extending his felicitations to the Royal formation in the state as well as the entire body of well wishers on this occasion lauds Oba Omisore for his exemplary lifestyle which he said, is devouted to national service and humanity in general and wishing for the King a sustained grace of good health and sound mind to deliver more to his subjects.
Oba Olajide Omisore is the biological father of the former Osun State Deputy Governor and two-term senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Iyiola Omisore.
A release earlier issued by the family confirmed that a thanksgiving celebrations and reception will hold in Olode and Ile-Ife on the 7th of July, 2021.
