Ayoola Ibukun Bisola, Nigeria's first female "Bata" drummer, a sensational cultural performer, singer and songwriter early this week took to her Instagram page @bisola_omoge_bata to unveil her new stage name "Bisola Omoge Bata".

The young energetic, charming and multitalented African entertainer who has been featured in numerous great performances both locally and internationally including countries like Ethiopia, Côte D'Ivoire, Ghana, Turkey among others decsribed the shift as a new beginning.

Bisola in the post explained that the decision is in a move to enable her focus more on and promote her unique brand, BISOLA OMOGE BATA, The Bata Queen, which she said is equally set to be under a new management.

Sadly, I shall be dropping the name (Oloomidan Bata) to embrace and promote my unique brand "BISOLA OMOGE BATA" (THE BATA QUEEN )and under a new management team. I thank everyone who has been in support of my growth and my brand. The Phoenix has risen", she posted.

Bisola Omoge Bata is unarguably one of the gifted and shining African youths upon which the future of the Continent especially in terms of its cultural sustainability and indigenous entertainment depends. In an exclusive chat with Ife City Blog, Bisola disclosed that her strong passion for promoting African culture and in particular, Yoruba Culture is the driving force, urging fellow young Africans to embrace motherland culture.

"Let me say maybe because I got madly in love with my culture and I realize a lot of people have forgotten their root. Our culture and tradition are so rich and I will like to advise the younger generation to embrace it. They should invest all they have in it", she said.
