The federal lawmaker representing Ife Federal Constituency, Hon. Taofeeq Abimbola Ajilesoro has commenced the second batch of Agri-preneurship intensive training and empowerment program.
Hon. Ajilesoro in a statement obtained from his media office on Monday maintained that the training in Agri-business is yet another concerted effort to emancipate constituents, boost agricultural practices and assist in the provision of alternative sources of income for the good people of Ifeland,
According to him, the initiative is aimed at boosting agriculture, food production and self-wealth creation index of his constituency, adding that the programme will cover over 150 constituents across Ifeland with some other constituents from Atakunmosa west Local Government as a sequel to the previous 150 beneficiaries who were trained last August on Cocoa and Plantain production.
The lawmaker upon declaring the program open via video conversation, highlighted Agri-preneurship as a goldmine waiting to be tapped especially in an agrarian district like Ifeland with lots of Arable lands waiting to be explored which if well harnessed can serve as an alternative economy for individuals and the Constituency in general.
He therefore encouraged the beneficiaries to assimilate, maximize and put in practice every ounce of knowledge transfered to them during the course of the program. Each beneficiaries is to be assisted with cash tokens as empowerment package.
