The honorable member representing Ife Federal Constituency In the House of Representatives, Hon. Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro has commisserated with Senator Iyiola Omisore over the death of his father, Late Oba David Olajide Omisore Omigbade I, the Olu of Ayepe-Olode Awolowo town in Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State.
Late Oba Olajide Omisore, father to the former Osun State Deputy Governor and two-term senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Iyiola Omisore, died in the early hours of Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at the age of 90.
In a condolence message personally signed by him as obtained by IFECITYBLOG on Wednesday, Hon. Ajilesoro described the late monarch as a "remarkable Royal Father" whose sense of humour will for long be missed.
"I write on behalf of my family and the good citizens of Ife Federal Constituency to express our deep condolences to your Excellency and the Royal Household on the death of His Royal Highness Oba Olajide Omisore.
"Please accept this message as a mark of respect to a remarkable Royal Father whose life we remember and commemorate with deep affection. His Royal Highness was in fine form and his sense of humour would be long remembered.
"Our thoughts, prayers, likewise that of many others in Ife Land and particularly Olode, are with The Royal Family at this period of Kabiyesi's permanent absence. We have lost a king and father, and we are aware you indeed lost a treasured member of your family.", the message read in part.
