The Arole Oduduwa and Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has commended the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, Mr. Karl Toriola for his invaluable contributions to human capital development, noting that he is on the right side of history.
The Ooni who recently met with the Telecom giant Executive, in a statement on Sunday described Toriola as a remarkable son of Oduduwa, adding that their meeting was strategic as it centred prominently on discussions aimed at transforming Nigeria as a nation and by extension the African continent.
The foremost traditional ruler who is also the Co-Chairman of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN) expressed confidence in the people centred developmental and innovative entreprises which, according to Ooni is the best help to offer a generation.
"I had the pleasure of meeting our own remarkable son of Oduduwa, Mr. Karl Toriola, the CEO of MTN Nigeria, and one of the largest telecommunications in the world for an excellent strategic engagement that aimed at transforming Nigeria, and Africa. You are, indeed, on the right side of history.
"Your dedication, investment in our people, and desire to serve them demonstrates our shared belief in human capital development as the most important aspect of our legacy and future.
"I applaud your devotion to the aforementioned, and I am confident that our in-depth discussion, shared mission, and focused engagement will serve as an ideal catalyst for fostering a favorable and viable socioeconomic culture that will unleash the secure prosperity legacies that the African people desire.", Ooni said.
Ooni further emphasized our collective unity and responsibility as a people which he said is very crucial to making the world conducive for youth innovations and build the continent of our dream.
"Through our strength of unity, we can break new ground for our young people, establish the finest of our world, and become incredible stories of Africa's greatness. Let us work together to build a just, inclusive, and equitable Africa.", Ooni added.
