The new Vice-Chancellor of the Obafemi Awololwo University, Ile-Ife, Prof. Adebayo Simeon Bamire paid homage to the Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II at the Ile Oodua, his palace.
The Ooni at the occasion showered blessings from the ancestral throne of Oduduwa on the 63-year-old varsity don.
The Ooni who expressed his pleasure over the visit, wished the new VC well and prayed for him to excel in taking the institution to a greater height in the next five years for which his tenure will last.
Bamire, a professor of Agricultural Economics from the faculty of agriculture, Obafemi Awololwo University, Ile-Ife was inaugurated as the 12th substantive Vice-Chancellor of the renowned institution on Tuesday 7th June, 2022.
