The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife has announced that her 46th Convocation Ceremony will hold from Wednesday 7th to Saturday 10th December, 2022.
The University in a release on Saturday, signed by the Registrar, Idowu Omosule, detailed the various activities lined up for the ceremony.
It reads:

The 46th Convocation ceremony of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 7th to Saturday, 10th December, 2022, as follows:
1. Wednesday, 7th December, 2022
Award of Diploma Certificates
Venue: Department of Local Government and Development Studies
Time: 9.00 a.m.
2. Thursday, 8th December, 2022
Conferment of Bachelor’s Degrees and Award of Prizes to Graduating Students in the Faculties of Administration, Arts, Education, Law and Social Sciences
Venue: Oduduwa Hall
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Convocation Play – “Adventures in the Forest of a Thousand Daemons (A Stage Adaptation of D. O. Fagunwa’s Ogboju Ode Ninu Igbo Irunmole)” - by Femi Osofisan

INFORMATION TO GRADUANDS:
A. Graduands wishing to participate in the 46th Convocation ceremonies are required to complete an online registration form, using the following link: eportal.oauife.edu.ng
A link to a short demonstration video on how to wear the convocation gown and other accoutrements will be available on the registration portal.
B. Graduands are required to pay the prescribed convocation fees, as prescribed below (https://eportal.oauife.edu.ng/grad_login.php):
All Diploma Graduands: N15,000.00All First Degree Graduands: N20,000.00Higher Degree Graduands: N25,000.00
C. Upon registration, graduands are to print out the following documents: (a) proof of payment of prescribed fees; and (b) two electronic invitation cards indicating the names of their designated guests.
D. The proof of payment of prescribed fees (in duplicate) will be required to collect academic gowns and the Order of Proceedings from their respective Faculty/College Secretaries between 8.00a.m. and 4.00p.m. on the day preceding the award of diplomas and conferment of degrees in their respective disciplines.
E. Graduands should assemble at the Faculty of Science (White House) Foyer on their respective Convocation daysnotlater than 8.00a.m. All graduands must be fully robed and seated in the places allocated to them at the Convocation venue by 9.30a.m. before the commencement of the Official Processions.
F. Graduands are required to return the academic gowns issued to them to their respective Faculty/College Secretaries not later than 4.00 p.m. on the convocation day, failure of which shall attract a fine of N10,000.00 per day, in the first instance, and subsequently N2,000.00 for each day of default.
G. Only graduands, the Official University Procession and Invited Dignitaries will be allowed into the Convocation Venue.
H. Parents and guardians of graduands, who wish to attend the ceremonies shall be ushered into designated viewing hall. In view of the limited spaces available, entrance into the viewing hall shall be strictly on first come, first served basis.
I. All vehicles entering into the University Campus shall be required to pay a sum of Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) per day and shall be given a security tally, which must be returned to the designated Security personnel at the Posts when exiting the Campus. A misplaced tally will attract a fine. Parking of vehicles will be at designated locations, as indiscriminate parking will attract a fine.
Graduands are advised to note and adhere strictly to the dates and time scheduled for the ceremonies.
Graduands should note that movement into and out of the hall during or before the end of the ceremonies will not be allowed.
Graduands will also be required to show evidence of payment of the Convocation charges when collecting their certificates.
