The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has posponed the collation of the 2023 general elections till 6pm today.
INEC Chairman, Prof Mahmoud Yakubu, in a statement at the official opening of the national collation centre in Abuja, announced the postponement of the exercise earlier scheduled to commence at noon on Sunday.
The electoral umpire noted that the shift in the timing becomes necessary as the commission still awaits results from States Collation Officers for Presidential Elections.
The INEC boss then warned members of the public and the media to against circulating online election results which do not originate from the commission as the only authorized body assigned for that duty.
