Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke on Tuesday night joined other Dignitaries at a gathering in Lagos hosted by the US Consulate General, Wills Stevens ahead of the 247th American Independence Anniversary.
The event was also attended by other prominent personalities including, Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Former NFA President, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, Nigerian Singer Davido, among others.
The American Independence Anniversary holds July 4 and it is a day commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.
The anniversary is commonly referred to as Independence Day or the Fourth of July, which marks the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation, free from British rule.
This national holiday is celebrated across the country with various festivities, including fireworks displays, parades, picnics, barbecues, and family gatherings.
