Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday in Lagos received in audience his Guinea-Bissau counterpart and Chairman of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, Umaro Sissoco Embaló.
Tinubu in a statement following the unannounced meeting, said the two leaders discussed key issues of mutual interest.
The President who has been in Lagos for Sallah since he returned from London on Tuesday, added that his administration will continue to engage in meaningful collaborations in line with its goal of repositioning the country as a regional power.
"I look forward to a collaborative and productive relationship with all our regional partners as the administration pursues its goal to re-establish Nigeria as the Giant of Africa", the president said.
President Umaro had on February 10, 2023, visited the country when he met with the former president, Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the general elections.
