We Must Celebrate Our Existence and True Identity as Africans, Ooni Says as He Marks 49th Birthday in Style

The Ooni of Ife, Arole Odududwa Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II has emphasised the need for all Africans to always celebrate their existence and true identity.

The revered monarch who clocked 49 on Tuesday, in a statement, urged citizens to do more in embracing their rich culture, history and traditions.

The Co-chairman of National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria, NCTRN further stressed the indomitable essence and eternal efficacy of the people's cultural and historical assets, urging them to live up to their sustenance.

"We must embrace our rich culture, tradition and powerful history, as their capacities have not waned and will live for centuries to come.

"As it was in the past and now, the future generation will inevitably speak to the world with optimism about the legacies that our forebears instilled in them. 

We must therefore celebrate our existence, and be undeniably proud of our identity.", Ooni stated.
