Ooni of Ife Gifts Palace Staffs Cars, Cash Prizes, Other Items at Appreciation Day

The Palace of the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty, Arole Odududwa, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II, was on Friday night thrown into yet another moment of celebration at the 2023 edition of the annual Staff Appreciation and Awards Night.

The event, powdered by Ooni's Wife, Her Regal Majesty, Olori Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi under the auspices of the Hopes Alive Initiative, Ooni's Non-Governmental Organisation.

Staff members from across various departments and formations were rewarded at the event, the second of its kind, with handsome prizes ranging from cars, cash and other gift items.

In his welcome address, the Director of Media and Public Affairs, Ooni of Ife's Palace, Otunba Moses Olafare, described the programme as a laudable initiative by Her Regal Majesty to appreciate, celebrate as well as motivate workers at the Palace for their dedication and loyalty.

"Appreciation remains a veritable tool to sustain dedication and loyalty and that is what Her Regal Majesty has been doing over the last two years through the Hopes Alive Initiative and this has so far been yielding desired result."

In her remarks, Olori Temitope Ogunwusi who doubles as the Deputy Convener, Hopes Alive Initiative, appreciated his husband, the Arole Oduduwa for the opportunity to celebrate the palace staff at the annual event.

Olori Temitope while commending the staff for their dedication to service in the house of Oduduwa, further encouraged them never to relent as, according to her, there is always a time for reward. 

The Queen also appreciated all the brand partners and notable individuals for their support towards the success of the in initiative.

Highlights of the event included the presentation of Awards of excellence to deserving staffs, brands and prominent individuals including the First Lady of the State, Her Excellency, Erelu Ngozi Adeleke who was represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Deaconess, Olusola Adewusi.

In His remark, the Ooni and Chief Convener, Hopes Alive Initiative, HAI commended his Queen for putting the event together. The revered monarch reiterated his mission to impact positively the lives of everyone under him and that he is just getting started.  

Guest artists and performers added glamour to the event with their beautiful and entertaining displays.

The pick of the event was the presentation of prizes to lucky and deserving staffs. A total of two vehicles, three motorcycles, electronics and cash prizes in millions were won.
