Ooni And His Unsolicited Amuluduns - By Adewale Adetoyese

Just recently, the Yoruba arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) posted a video clip where the Arole Oduduwa & Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II described the social media and those who place contents to serve selfish and derogatory purposes against the revered throne and his personality as mere entertainers (Amuluduns).

Since his enthronement in 2015, the Arole Oodua has been used by these countless Amuluduns particularly in the social media fabricating lies with figment of their imaginations not only to amuse the innocent people who are ignorantly addicted to watching/listening to them, but also to generate income for their lazy livelihood through their fans and employers who enjoy their inglorious fallacies about the throne and the eminent personality therein.

His family affairs, private businesses, public conducts, association with people and places as well as contributions on national/international affairs have been chewed by these so called Amuluduns who should rather be referred to as Agboranduns who derive pleasure in saying “Ooni said this” “Ooni said that” or “Ooni does this”, “Ooni does that”.

Fortunately for these charlatans, they are only committing acts of sacrilege against the man sent by God Almighty to lead our race to the promised land, for Ooni Ogunwusi is a great leader with a thick skin against their negative energies  indefatigably leading the race as a father who only laughs at the dry jokes made by these unsolicited entertainers (Agboranduns).

Sadly enough, these Amuluduns have been joined by supposed responsible personalities including royals  including beneficiaries of the Ooni’s limitless generosity and magnanimity. This trend does not exempt those who joined and remain in royalty courtesy of His Imperial Majesty’s involvement/intervention.

Fortunately for these charlatans they are only committing act of sacrilege against the man sent by God Almighty to lead our race to the promised land, for Ooni Ogunwusi is a great leader with a thick skin against their negative energies  indefatigably leading the race as a father who only laughs at the dry jokes made by these unsolicited entertainers (Agboranduns).

Right in his domain where he chairs all official royal capacities permanently, he is fenced with children who often claim to be their own fathers. Unfortunately for these characters, their subjects globally are steps ahead in history and always quick to call them to order with all calling Ife their natural home and Ooni; their undisputed father.

Perhaps, the enviability naturally attracted by his status as the natural leader of the oldest race in the world or as peak of all royalties in the country, these Agboranduns several of whom are descendants of Oduduwa directly or indirectly, often try to rewrite history in adherence to their ego and baseless contest for a status bigger than their entire domains.

Let it not shock you to know that most of these Amuluduns especially in their numbers still flock/run after the great man they hypocritically called their father (The Ooni) in order to extract material and other gains daily. Some even joke about the pardonability of their misbehaviour while trying to appease the Arole Oodua; a god himself that holds nothing against them.

Sadly, these do not make their ways to the social media because the Ooni has always discouraged his media machinery against publishing these contents which are only capable of further causing disunity in the land.

I assure you, there are lots of receipts. Lols!

As already said by our father; the Ooni, “E je ki won maa mu ilu dun lo” (Let them keep entertaining the public)………..
