An Ile-Ife born sports enthusiast and community advocate, Mr Kunle Ayoola has said that grassroot sport development remains a veritable tool to curb myriads of social vices facing the country.
Mr Ayoola stated this on Friday at the end of a novelty match hosted by his foundation, The Kunle Ayoola Foundation which was held at Oduduwa College in Ile-Ife.
The successful match had St. David's Grammar School Lagere trashing St. Phillip's Anglican Grammar School Omi Okun with a 2-0 win.
The event which had Oduduwa College football field filled up to capacity was graced by numerous dignitaries who came out to support youth sports and community engagement.
The climax of the event was the presentation of Trophy free jersey and cash prize to the participating schools and top players of the match.
Mr. Kunle who is an old student of both schools and active member of old students' association thanked the players, supporters, management of the schools and organizers for making the event memorable one.
The grand finale of KAF inauguration was held on saturday June 29 at the Ife Grand Resorts and Industrial hub, Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife with Captains of industries, Top politicians, Traditional Rulers, Religion leaders and many others in attendance.
