The Department of Adult Education and Livelong Learning Students' Association of Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife on Friday honoured the Private Secretary to the Ooni of Ife, Mr Yusuf Adewale Adetoyese with an Award of Recognition for his positive social impacts and commitment to excellence.
Adetoyese, a seasoned journalist and Editor of Eyewitness News was among notable personalities awarded by the Association at its maiden event tagged Ife Adult Education Summit 1.0 held at the Faculty of Education of the institution.
Ooni appointed the Iwara born media icon as private Secretary in 2022 after serving for several years as a reporter for the palace at the Directorate of Media and Public Affairs.
He is a professional journalist, public relations expert and a dignified member of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ.
Reacting to the award, Adetoyese described it as a great honour and true recognition of what he stands for as an advocate for excellence and continuous learning.
