Royalties, eminent yoruba schorlars and cultural custodians gathered at the palace of the Ooni of Ife, for the public presentation and official launch of the book "Oduduwa Afewonro" written by the renowned author and historian, Chief Olaposi Ogunremi.
In his review, the Laroka of Wanikin Ife, Oba Bankole Adewale Ojutalayo, described the book as a veritable tool for all descendants of Oduduwa worldwide to properly understand their history.
The Ile-Ife born author, Chief Ogunremi in his presentation, noted that the book is written out of the need to tell the real story of Oduduwa the progenitor as it affects the origin of the Yoruba people.
Ogunremi is a gifted writer who has authored several other works on Yoruba history and culture including Oriki Agbole Ile-Ife, Oriki Orile Yoruba, Authentic Story of Moremi Ajasorio, among others.
The event presented a moment of critical reflection on the Yoruba history and values while attendees were also left with a touch of cultural entertainment.
