The Ooni of Ife, Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, CFR, Ojaja II has approved the appointment of a 35 year old graduate of The Polytechnic Of Ibadan, Alhaji Hussaini Salisu Muhammed as the new Seriki Hausa of Ifeland making him Leader of the Hausa community in Ifeland.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Palace Director of Media and Public Affairs, Otunba Moses Olafare.
The new development according to the release is necessitated by the leadership vacuum created by the recent demise of the immediate past Seriki of Hausa who joined his ancestors about one month ago.
"The new Seriki designate who hails from Sokoto in Sokoto state of Nigeria was born in Ile-Ife where he was raised by his parents; Alhaja Jubril Hussaini and Alhaja Hauwa Kulu.
"He attended Ansarul Islam Primary School, Olaolu Street and Oduduwa College both in Ile-Ife before proceeding to the prestigious Polytechnic of Ibadan for his tertiary education.
"Well loved by his Hausa kinsmen, the new leader of the entire Hausa community in Ifeland is a leading business man and responsible family man blessed with there wives and eleven children." the statement read in part.
