Prince Oyeyemi Adebayo from Arowoeledejoye Compound, has emerged new Olumoro of Moro-elect in Ife North West Local Council Development Area of Osun.
Adebayo was chosen during the election process by five Kingmakers of the town at Ife North West LCDA Secretariat, Edunabon.
The new Olumoro-elect was announced by the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Yunus Lawanson .
Lawanson said that five Princes that contested are: Prince Adetoro Adeyinka and Prince Ezekiel Oyewumi that came from Arowoelede compound.
He adding that other contestants are: Prince Oyeyemi Adebayo, Prince Olasumboye Oyetunde and Olaoye Oyedele that also came from Arowoelejoye Compound.
According to him, the result from the five kingmakers that voted are: Adebayo got three to emerged the Olumoro -elect over Adeyinka and Oyetunde that got one vote each while Oyewumi and Joel had no vote.
The five kingmakers are: Chief Oluyinka Olanrewaju J, Omoloju of Moro; Chief Adeyemi Adeagbo, Molaage of Moro and Chief James Salako, Asalu of Moro.
Other Kingmakers are: Apostle Egunyemi J. Idowu, Baale Arowosilejoye and Pa Jacob Oyebanji Aderibigbe, Baale Arowoeledejoye.
Adebayo, the Olumoro-elect while granting interview with the Pressmen appreciated God and his supporters,saying it is the Lord's doing and it's marvelous in his sight.
He promised to use all in his capacity to ensure growth and development of the town.
Olumoro-elect pledged to work with his co-contenstant, for "a tree cannot make a forest", called for support of the indigene.
The stool became vacant following the demise of the late Olumoro Oba Ezekiel Oyeniyi who joined his ancestors on Feb 22, 2024.
