Princess Banke Adeyera, a London-based nurse and daughter of the Baale (District Head) of Ilare Community in Ile-Ife, was deemed deserving of this honor due to her dedication to making a positive impact in her community.
During her acceptance speech, the newly-installed Yeye Banke Adeyera expressed deep gratitude and pledged unwavering commitment to her new role. "I feel so honored and happy today. This title means so much to me, and I promise never to let the Iraye Community down. I want to specially thank my King, Obalaaye, for finding me worthy of this position," she said, beaming with pride.
The Obalufe of Ife, Oba Idowu Adediwura, who represented the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, lauded Princess Adeyera’s virtues and urged her to uphold the Omoluabi qualities that the title demands.
“On behalf of our father, the Ooni of Ife, I want you to count yourself very lucky today. An Ife chieftaincy title is not just for anybody. Your being chosen for this position is a reward for the good qualities you embody," Oba Adediwura stated. He further reminded her that the Yeyemeto title is a call to serve, urging her to sustain her admirable character and commitment to the development of Iraye Kingdom.
