The Salu of Edunabon, Oba Adesoji Oladepo, Akinrinsa II, has installed High Chief Sunday Abodunde as the new Oosa of Edunabon. The installation ceremony took place at the Salu's Palace in Alamo Area, Edunabon, on Friday.
Oba Oladepo praised the new Oosa, stating that his selection was a deliberate choice, not a mistake. "He is a round peg in a round hole," the monarch said. "His exposure, experience, and character make him well-suited to represent me and the entire town."
The Royal Father noted that High Chief Abodunde, a retired civil servant, has been acting as Oosa since July without any opposition. He called on the indigenes to support the new chief, ensuring his success and the town's progress.
In his response, the new Oosa of Edunabon, High Chief Sunday Abodunde, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to God for the privilege to serve. He also extended his sincere appreciation to the Salu of Edunabon and the entire people of Edunabon for their unwavering support and trust in him.
He pledged not to disappoint and vowed to work tirelessly for the progress, development, cooperation, and unity of Edunabon. Abodunde also called on everyone to work together with the Salu of Edunabon for the betterment of the town.
He thanked the Salu of Edunabon, the Salu Chiefs-in-Council, Oosa compound, and the people of Edunabon for their support. The installation ceremony was attended by notable figures, including the Salu-Chiefs-in-Council and well-wishers.
