Nigeria's Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima GCON, is set to deliver the convocation lecture at Obafemi Awolowo University's (OAU) 48th Convocation Ceremony.
The lecture, titled "From Campus to Career: Navigating Life's Realities and Embracing Entrepreneurship in a Changing World," will take place on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the Oduduwa Hall of the institution.
As an educationist, Vice President Shettima brings a wealth of experience to the lecture. He has worked as a lecturer at the University of Maiduguri, been involved in educational policy-making and administration, and demonstrated a commitment to education through his public service and advocacy.

A total of 7,368 graduates will receive various degrees during the ceremony, with 215 earning First Class honors. The ceremony will conclude with the conferment of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master's Degrees, Master of Philosophy, and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees.
