Segilola Resources Advances Community Development with Major Infrastructure Projects

Segilola Resources Operating Limited (SROL) has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable community development through two major infrastructure projects in its host communities: the construction of a royal palace for Imogbara and the development of the Imogbara-Odo-Ijesa road.

The 2.4-kilometer road project, which commenced in late January, is being constructed using solid interlocking concrete blocks to ensure durability. Presently, approximately 100 meters have been completed.

Meanwhile, the Imogbara palace project is nearing completion, with 95% of the work finished and final touches underway.

The projects have been met with appreciation from the local community. Speaking on behalf of the people of Imogbara, the Olumolu of Imogbara, HRH Oba Bamidele Adeniji Adeyeye, expressed gratitude for Segilola’s contributions.

"We in the Imogbara community deeply appreciate Segilola’s efforts. They have not only provided jobs but also installed a transformer and supported our women and youth in their businesses.

"This palace is something we have long hoped for, and thanks to Segilola, Imogbara will soon stand proudly alongside other communities in the region."

Ms. Madhurii Sarkar-Amoda, Community Development and Stakeholder Manager at SROL, reiterated the company’s commitment to impactful initiatives.

"At Segilola, we believe in taking action, not just making promises. Our goal is to create lasting value for the communities where we operate, and these projects reflect our unwavering commitment to that vision."

Segilola Resources continues to prioritize infrastructure development, job creation, and local empowerment as part of its broader mission to enhance the well-being of its host communities.
