Her Imperial Majesty, Queen Ashley Afolasade Ogunwusi, the esteemed consort of His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, is currently in Dakar, Senegal, where she is representing Nigeria at the prestigious CMD Food Tour Senegal 2025.
The two-day event, holding from April 18 to 19, is a high-profile cultural and culinary showcase organized by CMD Food Tour SARL in collaboration with UNACOIS, and under the distinguished patronage of several key ministries in the Republic of Senegal.
These include the Ministry of Women, Family & Children, the Ministry of Industry & Commerce, and the Ministry of Youth, Sports & Culture—all unified in their goal to promote African culinary heritage, cultural identity, and cross-border cooperation.
Queen Ashley’s attendance at the event underscores her growing role as a cultural ambassador and a voice for African unity and heritage.
