The Nigerian security operatives have successfully located and exhumed the body of the late Hon. Abdul Rauf Adekunle Adeniji, popularly known as Kongo. The recovery marks a turning point in the tragic episode that had left the Ife community and political circles in distress.

The late Hon. Adekunle Adeniji Kongo, was declared missing under troubling circumstances after he was abducted in Abuja in late January 2025 alongside three others. He tragically died in captivity just two hours after witnessing the brutal killing of a fellow female captive, an ordeal that reportedly led to a severe trauma-induced collapse.

In an official statement issued by Hon. Tunji Owojori, Secretary of the APC Ife Federal Constituency Ad-hoc Committee on Hon. Adeniji’s Burial, appreciation was extended to God, the Nigerian security forces, party leadership at all levels, and the general public for their solidarity, support, and cooperation during the difficult period.
